Wingfield and COVID-19
Wingfield is an historic village in rural Suffolk recorded in the Doomsday Book. But today, like the rest of the world, it faces the COVID-19 pandemic. If the village survived the Plague in the 14th century it will survive this infection.
Our first line of defence is strictly following the Government advice to stay at home.
The second is the army of Wingfield residents who have come forward to help their more vulnerable neighbours. The list of the volunteers and contact numbers are detailed below. This is only the tip of the iceberg of villagers who have demonstrated their willingness to help.
Finally, the Parish Council, is the first level of government. We have access to the latest Government initiatives to tackle this problem. Re-visit the COVID-19 page for updated advice.
